Sponsored Content Policy

Sellers pay for exposure—not favorable reviews, ratings, or verdicts.

What “sponsored” means on PostThisDeal

When a seller purchases a package, their deal is distributed to our website placements and to creator channels. Those placements are advertising. We label them so that shoppers always know when a deal was paid to be shown.

How we disclose it

  • Every sponsored deal page shows the statement: “Sponsored placement: The seller paid for distribution. Payment does not guarantee sales and does not influence independent product evaluations.”
  • Deal cards carry a “Sponsored” tag.
  • Outbound links from sponsored deals use rel="sponsored"; affiliate links are disclosed separately.
  • Creators are required to label posts as advertising (for example “#ad”) on their own channels.

What payment does not buy

  • Payment does not buy approval. Every deal is moderated against the same Submission Rules regardless of package.
  • Payment does not buy reviews, ratings, testimonials or “verdicts” of any kind. We never sell them and we reject deals that solicit them.
  • Payment does not influence independent evaluations. A seller may pay to have a deal distributed, but cannot pay for a favorable TickClip verdict.
  • Payment does not guarantee results. Creator-reported reach and engagement are shown as self-reported and are never presented as verified.

Reporting a problem

If you believe a sponsored deal is mislabelled, misleading or violates this policy, use the Report button on the deal page or contact us.
