Our take

This is a sign-up credit rather than a price cut, so its value depends entirely on finding something you actually want on Mercari — and it only works in the app. Note that taxes and the Buyer Protection Fee are still figured on the original item price, so the $10 comes off the item only, and the window is tight: 7 days to claim, 7 days to spend.

Worth claiming if you are a brand-new Mercari user shopping in the app and can complete a purchase within the coupon's seven-day life.
