Deal Lens

Find the best deal, not just the biggest discount.

Search by photo, screenshot, link, barcode or name. We compare what shops charge for the same product, with shipping where it’s stated.

Every shop we can reach, for the very same product, lowest full cost first.

Pictures come from shopping listings and shops’ product feeds, not from each shop’s own catalogue, so a shop may have more than you see here. Choose one to compare offers.

Why the biggest discount often isn’t the best deal

A discount is measured against a price the shop chose, and that price may be one almost nobody paid. What matters is what you’d pay in total, compared with what other shops charge for the same thing today. So Deal Lens ranks on the full known cost of the same product, not the size of the percentage.

How to compare two prices fairly

Check that it’s the same model and size, since one digit in a model number can mean a different product. Add shipping and any membership you’d need. Divide multipacks to a price per unit. Then check the seller and the return terms: a lower price from a seller you can’t return to may not be cheaper in the end.

What we can’t tell you yet

We show prices as they were when we checked, and tax isn’t included. Our price record starts the first time a product is searched, so for most products it’s short, and we never call a price the lowest ever. An offer with unknown shipping never outranks one whose full cost is known.

Which shops we look at

We search these directly: Amazon, Walmart, Target, and eBay.

We find these through shopping listings, so they appear only when a listing names them: Macy's, Kohl's, and Best Buy.

Other shops can appear when they list a match. No shop pays to be included, and commission plays no part in the order.

How we label results

An exact match is a shop’s own listing with the same barcode you scanned. A likely match states the same brand and model we read from your picture, or was found from your barcode. Similar products look alike but may not be the same thing. Every result comes from a real listing we found, and we never make up products, prices or shops.

Questions

Can I check if a price is good?

Yes. Type something like “Is this $299 TV a good deal?” or enter the price you saw, and we compare it with the offers we find. We can only compare against the shops we checked, so it isn’t proof that nothing cheaper exists.

Are refurbished products included?

Yes, but separately. New and used or refurbished offers aren’t ranked against each other.

How do you find coupons?

We compare the prices shops list. We don’t guess at codes, and we never take one off a price unless we know it applies.

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. This doesn’t affect how results are ordered. How Lens works, and what it can’t tell you
